September 8th (a day later)

Its been a minute since I posted something but im back and I want to talk about to albums that came out yesterday Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban linx... PT. II & Jay-Z's Blueprint 3

I like BP3 alot right now but if the blogs and rap forums speak any truth im one of the few people who enjoys the grown up & mature Jay. He has done & said all he has to & could possibly say. Hell thats why i love American Gangster so much because if you look at it hes pretty bored with just rapping and is asking himself what is next. If you look at BP3 for what ii is an album from a man who has done and said it all and now is just looking back at where he came from and what he has done and finds himself happy & pround at what he became then yeas its a good album. If you look at it as not Reasonable Doubt well then you not only are an idiot but you are not gonna like this album that much.

While Cuban Linx 2 is not as great as the first one (it was never gonna be) it is as good as the original verison as we will get. Its like The Godfather 2 great in its own right and while it is not the original it is as close and as impactful as the first as it could be. Its not Cuban Linx revisted which benifits the album. The fact that it has its own idenity means in a couple of years it can be as timeless as the first. It is a perfect companion piece to OB4CL and Rae and everybody invloved seems to have gone out of there way to make sure Linx 2 was as great and as Close to the original as it could possiblly be.

Hot Boys Reunion Album

Am I the only one pumped for this? My only fear is that Wayne in his current form will be really outta place with Juvie whoes a beast, Turk who has something to proof and B.G. who is just B.G.. Mannie Fresh has stated hes dead bent on making the album a classic so we are in good hand production wise. Just hope Wanye Sobers up and realizes that his old fans are the ones looking forward to this album not his current fans.

The Two "Hot Boy" (no Turk cuz hes still locked up) Reunion tracks that came out last summer

Jones claims he never spoke to cam

http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/audio/id.6909/title.jim-jones-says-he-never-spoke-w-camron

Either Cam is lying or Jones is trying to be a tough and act like hes too cool for and doesnt need Cam anymore. Given boths track records id say it can go either way but im leaning towards Jimmy trieing to sound tough and cool. Jimmy doesnt even have a gold record besides diplomatic immunity 2 and the only record that hes sold a million of is the first Diplomatc Immunity is this man so concided that he cant bury the hatchett with Cam not even if its only for the fans sake?

Cam & Jones Mend Fences

http://www.sohh.com/2009/02/camron_mends_broken_dipse.html
"Hell Rell and J.R. Writer, they always check in," he said in an interview. "Everybody has been reaching out. I've been the one kinda saying Cam is going to take time do Cam. But Hell Rell and J.R. definitely been reaching out. I called [Freekey Zekey's] phone four or five days ago and Jim picked up Zeke's phone. Me and him spoke for about 10 or 15 minutes, but me and Zeek speak all the time. I haven't spoken to Juelz...It was cordial. He knew it was me...He said we was gonna holla, maybe we'll put something together. But in the immediate future, I'm just doing Cam." (MTV News)

Many might not be pumped but im a Huge Cam fan and loved what dipset was now I know Jimmy is a joke and showed who he really is but fuck who didnt love Diplomatic Immunity? Now that Jim & Cam are working things out maybe somewhere down the line Cam & Juelz can mend fences and we can ge atleast one dipset reunion track I mean a Heatmakerz high pitched sampled beat Cam in all his idiot savant glory, Jimmy Jones with his deep voiced slurred Cali by way of Harlem rhyme scheme, Juelz rhyming the same word 3 times completely on his "aye" game, Jr with one of his high pitched overlooked underrated relive hitter verses,Hell Reel & 40 Cal doing what they do best spit hot shit yet not outshine anybody event ho besides Cam and Maybe Juelz they could so easiely and Freeky cant rap on the Reunion tack he has to spit a sing song hook and Rant for 2 minutes as the outro thats what Zeeky was he wasnt a rapper but a glorified weed carrier and thats what he did best. This wont happen but Goddamnit me and other Old School Dipset fans sure would apperciate it.

Three 6 Mafia Mystic Styles Review

Welcome To HCP Month I got 17 Hypnotized Mind Albums and I plan on reviewing them all this month starting first with the album that started it all Mystic Styles

1.Da Beginning
Album Into introducing everybody but if your listening to this album you already know the groups history

2.Break da Law 95
Rowdy ass Memphis buck beat you just want to start a roit throw a few chairs drop a few bows when listening to this track and the Lyrics are ass rowdy as the beat only flaw only 2 bars from crunch and there adlibs to boot sadly this marks the first of only three appearences from Crunch Also Strange that you would open your debut album with a solo track but whatever up untill recently Three did whatever the fuck they wanted

3.Da Summer
Very nice chill track odd to follow a rowdy track with a chill smoke as u drive track but what the hell it works Paul Juice Lord and Koopsta all bring there A game on this one you can pretty much smell the indo on there breath as the spit

4.Live by Yo Rep (B.O.N.E. Dis)Featuring Kingpin Skinny Pimp & Playa Fly
IMO one of the most frightening diss records of all times they are threating some pretty gruesome stuff esp Infamous fuck dont fuck with Lord Skinny is close to if not as pissed beat ios real spooky and eerily calm which is very unsettling which fits there content wonder who wierded out Bone Thugs were when they heard this? Lords scary Worldplay with there names at the end is very unsettling and entertaining at the same time

5.In da Game
Horror Movie tales of being in the dope game man why did Paul & juice get ride of the creepy spookey as hell beats so great good song Three 6 has always been one to tell very darktales of streetlife this could be if not one of the earilest examples of said tracks

6.Now I'm Hi (Pt. 3)Featuring Playa Fly
One night I had a few Vicadine and was sippin on robbatusson and listened to this song in the dark I saw the music if that makes sense fuck this is a trippy ass song one of the best weed songs ive ever heard Fly switching in and out of rapping bout weed then coke all thru his verse Lord Infamous seems as if doing drugs is his second nature (come to find out years later it is) and Gangta Boo proves that shes not a bitch to fuck with (on the Mic or on the street)

7.Long Nite
Man the simplicity of the beat for hte first few bars of Koopstas verse is trippy as fuck Lords the Lord of the old all over this track which is a great thing Paul in all his one flow glory rips this track to shreds Juice also has a great showing great beat the eerie strings in the background rule

8.Sweet Robbery (Pt. 2)
Paul and Juice horror movie esque tales of robben cats with Koopsta added in for good message over a spooky beat where could you go wrong

9.Back Against da Wall (Pt. 2)
Might be the greates sample of Show Me What You Got just because it just samples that sweet sax part over a great tale of street life with that horrorcore twist old Three 6 was known for at this time

10.Fuckin' Wit Dis Click
Creepy Creepy track with a creepy sample Ghwtto street tales with acopliptic scriptufe and anarchey thorn in for good messure

11.All or Nothin'
Cool ass beat street kids christmas lists pretty muxh is how I can sum this track up everybody on here talks bout wanted fresh cars and weed and whatnot the smooth sample and the flows make this track good

12.Gotta Touch 'em (Pt. 2)
Crunchys second appearence on the album a slightly up tempo and twiked verison of this beat is used for Who the Crunkest on the Tear Da Club Up Album I like this beat better Rowdy yet smooth plus Crunchys verse is clunky and unpolished but stll has that Crunchy charm to it

13.Tear da Club Up
Like The Young and The Restless sample but I like Tear Da Club 97 better

14.Big Bizness (Screwed)
DJ Paul solo supershort dont get why its on the album but like I said earieler they did whatever the fuck they wanted

15.Mystic Styles Featuring Prophet Posse
First posse cut and id say the most dark and twised just like the album its named after it makes Crunchys third and last appearence on the album and little known fact La Chat was on the album before she started wondering around Memphis with Tommy Wright The III until her return to HCP in late 99

16.Porno Movie
What would a Horrorcore Album be without a porno graphic sex rump but as they were all in there early 20's and the beat is laid back and awesome I gave em a pass

Mystic Styles is a dark horrorcore album very creepy and spookey Three6 would never sound this dark agian recommended for only the biggest of Three 6 fans

Monsta Island Czars Member MF Bash Passes Away

January 9th, 2009 | Author: Jake Paine
Hip Hop faced one of its first losses earlier this week. On Monday, onetime Monsta Island Czars member MF Bash, formerly known as Invizabul Man, died due to heart complications.
The New York native, who grew up in the same neighborhood as onetime affiliate MF Grimm, also ran Bashton Records, in addition to his role in the unconventional Hip Hop collective once led by MF DOOM.
Ravage, a producer who worked with Bash, said of his fallen friend, "Bash has a serious amount of flows and styles. I'd be with him and songs just flow the hell out of him like, 'Rav, I know you got some new shit, give me something, man.' So I'd give him a beat and less than 20 minutes, he's ready to go in on the mic."
Most notably, Bash appeared on MF Grimm's 2006 triple-CD American Hunger album [click to read].
HipHopDX sends our condolences to Bash's

Rest in peace

Baby AKA Birbman AKA B-32: I Need A Bag Of Dope Review

Back In 93 Bryan Williams aka Baby aka Birdman released his first album (it was a cassette for those keeping track at home) what resulted was a rwas grimey ass album entirely produced by mannie Fresh

1.Slim Tha Don (Intro)
The funnies thing bout Slim is hes almost 7 feet tall and has the softest voice ive ever heard the man is so calm he is talking shit to some unnamed folks and seems laid out bout it

2.I Need A of Dope
A boumce type beat. A bounce beat but being a dope fiend now thats the content of this song have nothing to do with dancing but that beat will make you want to dance

3.Shake That Ass Like A Salt Shaker
Another bounce track a little more appropreite to dance to the shit baby says is fucking funny on this

4.Mannie Fresh Beat 1
Instrumental track man mannie was a great producer even back then

5.Mannie Fresh Beat 2
More of the same also a good beat, like the sample alot

6.Ivry Ivry
Baby doing the same thing hes been doing the whole tape spitting gangsta shit on bounce beats

7.Mannie Fresh Beat 3
An almost 7 minute track amazing samples fuck what mannie can do on the boards is amzing

8.I Had To Rob A Nigga
baby talking bout robbing a dealer on a bounce beat, Slim provides background vocals on this song he is all over the place on this album for him (if you didnt know he stays out the spotlight aside from a handfull of video appearences)

I Need To Bag A Dope is as street and grimy as you can get Gangsta shit over bounce beats the way only Cash Money could fuck mannie is amazing on here Baby isnt the bast rapper but back in the day this man knew his limitations and worked with what he had

P.S. there is still some grime left

Forgot heres a fucking sweet Whole Wheat Bread song featuring Lil Jon titled Ghost Muzik. Whole Wheat Bread get overlooked cuz there a black punk rock band but these guys are sweet and Jon scream rapping a verse is always a good thing

Bring Back the Grime Movement!!!!

What Happened to the grime?

Remember when hip hop was grimey? What in the world happened? Videos went from this

to this

What in the fuck happened in a ten year span hip hop is pose to be dirty and filthy it started of as block partys in the park. Money changes everything I just really hope that hip hop goes back to being dirty grimey thats what hip hop is was and will what forever be.
